The Alps EasySleeve Super Stretch SLE is a prosthetic sleeve designed for moderately active amputees who have a history of delicate or sensitive skin. The Alps Super Strech SLE is the easiest to take on and take off, out of all the sleeves we offer. It’s so stretchy that it can be removed and applied like a sock. The gel is not restricted in elongation by an outer fabric and therefore it places no constriction on your residual limb. Unlike most sleeves available, The Alps EasySleeve Super Stretch does not have an elastic outer fabric to constrict movement. In the case of the Alps EasySleeve Super Stretch, Alps decided to separate the two sections as a way to further reduce friction and increase circulation in the leg. This design helps avoid the common issue of sleeve bunching behind the knee (popliteal area).
A is sold separately from the Alps EasySleeve Super Stretch and allows your clothing to lay properly and not “hang up” on your suspension sleeve. This below the knee suspension sleeve provides comfort and durability by increasing the “stickiness” or coefficient of friction applied to your thigh. Alps’s Easygel allows complete freedom of movement and at the same time secure suspension by sealing with the skin without restricting circulation. Alps EasySleeve Superstretch SLE can be an alternative option to using a prosthetic liner with locking pin or you can use both a EasySleeve Super Stretch and liner with pin lock for added security.
Alps EasySleeve Super Stretch uses a proprietary compound called Easygel and is made from a combination of Styrene Triblock Copolymer & Mineral Oil.
