This unique full-wrap Nordic Runes design features the Codex Runicus, a 200 page medieval manuscript from around 1300 AD. Nordic runes are an ancient script used by the Germanic tribes of Northern Europe, including the Vikings, from around the 1st to the 12th century AD. This script, known as the runic alphabet or "futhark," named after its first six letters (F, U, Þ, A, R, K), was used for various purposes including writing, divination, and magical inscriptions. The earliest runic inscriptions are from around 150 AD, and they appear on various objects like jewelry, weapons, and runestones.
