The Ossur Iceform Sleeve with Wave Feature is in a prosthetic class by itself. Engineered with the similar wave technology as the , the horizontal wave allows for easier knee bending and stretches effectively along the front and folds in a controlled way behind the knee, reducing vaso-constriction and positively influencing blood-circulation in this area. This is a must have prosthetic sleeve for those with sensitive skin and you're an avid golfer or play similar moderate impact activities.

This is Ossur's first prosthetic sleeve to use Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) Gel. This gel sleeve material will conform to your residual limb and thigh to create a near custom fit. The unique thermo-formability of TPE gel uses your body heat to help mold and shape itself to provide improved comfort while walking and sitting. You'll notice with time, reduced friction and redness over bony areas such as your knee cap. This TPE gel sleeve is covered with a seamless durable knitted textile to prevent your clothing from getting caught, as well as a thicker middle section for increased durability. Ossur recommends using this sleeve with their Iceform Cushion Liner. The Ossur Iceform Sleeve can be used with a vacuum or suction system.

Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) Gel

Turn the Ossur Iceform sleeve inside out, half way, with gel of bottom end half-exposed. Stretch the sleeve over the brim of the socket and roll distal end completely down.
Roll down upper part of the sleeve until socket brim is completely exposed. Step into the socket and make sure the residual limb is positioned correctly in the socket. Roll the sleeve up with both hands.

Important: Do not pull on the edges as this may place strain on the skin.

Wash the Ossur Iceform sleeve daily, especially on the inside. To do so, remove the sleeve, turn it inside out and use a pH Balanced . Be sure to rinse with plenty of water, and wipe dry with a towel. Turn the sleeve inside out during washing. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.

Anyone who develops skin irritation after contact with this material should discontinue its use immediately and consult a physician or prosthetist.

Excessive heat may damage the sleeve. Take care not to scrub the surface of the sleeve, since that can roughen the surface which can cause skin irritation.
